Another great job Rob! For those who didn't know, Rob's first 993 dash was mine, a couple months ago. I'm extremely pleased. Details & pics here: clicky.

I find the price very reasonable for what you get. BTW, my dash was vinyl, so it's not like you need leather to start with.

Armor all is poo and is for beginers, imho. You can use Leatherique to clean and maintain at least once a year, but there are plenty of good leather protectants and conditioners out there that are easier to use on a regular basis. One example is Lexol , but there are others. Check a detailing supply website for options.

Funny - I just picked up a sewing machine at a garage sale this past weekend. Its an old german PFAFF machine that is well designed engineered - reminds me of the porsche in a mechanical sense (heavy cast aluminum panels, german part numbering scheme etc). Anyway, I tried sewing my daughters girl scout patches. Lets just say I have a great appreciation for your stichwork!!!

I agree. A good cleaning agent for leather is Murphy's Oil Soap. It has a low ph which is good.
Dilute it according to the label instructions. Use it to clean the leather every few weeks.
Don't soak the leather. A light spray then wipe it dry.. Use a soft bristle brush on old stains or dirt.

It is good to clean, but you need to condition as well, just as important, though not needed as often.

Rob, that red stitching is a little flashy for my taste but your workmanship is awesome!
Thanks!

I prefer a subdued look when it comes to stitching too. We've done some brown, blue and grey leather with stitching just a shade lighter & it looks great.
