Polar Silver Painted rear grill comparison shot
while I was at the mechanic the other day trying to find and stop the rear brakes squeek (BTW...$200 later, and the sqeek is still there) my car's twin was in for service and the guy had the rear grill painted. I think it looks great. To buy the C2S split grill is not justified. If it was $150 fine....but at $300 I would rather just paint the existuing grill.

I am thinking of doing this mod...I like the look.
Oh, I don't like it when mechanics put objects on the roof of a car...trunk carpet or otherwise. The trunk carpet for example has snap down hooks which can scratch the paint. I suppose its better than on the floor but he should have folded the trunk liner up and put is somewhere safe...even the back seat would be better.
Cheers,
Mike

Seems like it makes the car look wider. That's not a bad thing, right? I agree with post #2.
But I won't be painting mine. IMHO, the black grill "works better" with the color of my car's top.

Looks awesome, go for it. I haven't seen it before, lots of people buy the C2S split grill but this is a nice way of keeping it original but having a better look.
