I am looking for a 'local' shop that can take apart my Kinesis 3 piece rims, straighten a bent rim, reassemble and test for leaks. Since Kinesis was bought by Lexani, any support for old rims is not an option. In addition to repair, I want to have the forged centers 'gold' iridited. This is a yellow chemical film protective finish that can look great and not have any chipping problems that painted rims can have. I may look into powder coating, but the iridite does not add any dimensional changes, and is very durable. The color would also match that of my intake manifold/supercharger case, etc...
If anyone has first hand experience with a shop that can do wonders, please let me know.
Oh, by the way... my car, that had the roof crushed in is about to be worked on!!! It will take about four months to do with a full car repaint. No color change, just a high shine. The process continues.....

Call Dan Busche 301-651-6186 Wheel Doctor and see what he can do. He's in Gaithersburg and will pick up and deliver most of the time. Did great work on my Gemballas.
