Default 993 cassette holder

Now, I know no one uses cassettes any more, but I have one of these sitting in my garage. It's in good condition and is free to anyone who wants it. Otherwise it'll have to go to the great centre console in the sky. ;-)

Cheers

Phil

Anticipating the uncontrollable land-rush groundswell of frenzied enthusiasm for these rare and highly-valued gems, mine is also on offer and also free to you incurable cassette-lovers.

(Phil was first, so he gets dibs on the first request.)

Regards to all.

Mine's on the other side of the Atlantic to yours, so I guess we're not in competition.

I bet in years to come people will pay dearly for these, just to get the correct 1980s look!

Best Regards.

Sorry for the dumb question, but as a new 993 owner confused as to what to do with a useless cassette holder, what options exist for replacing it?

I have one available as well. Line forms to the rear.

There is a little tray you can get which is a simple recess. Much more useful.

....isn't that one of those things that the ole southern bells used to keep their mid sections in check? Anyone have an 8-track holder for the 993?

So you can take that casette thingy out, eh. What creative things have people done with the space.

An oddments tray fits in the space and is much more useful. You can put in a thing called an iPod which, apparently, is the modern version of a cassette, whatever that might be ;-)

Oh, and if you're American, you can fit a cupholder in the space so you can spill coffee down your trousers as you drive ;-)

Thanks Dan. I'm planning a feature '101 things to do with your 993 cassette holder'

Let's see:

1, Desk tidy
2, Door stop
3, Attractive plant pot
4, Cat scarer
5, Fashionable hat

Ha! I like #4 Hawk that damn thing on eBay for $1 someone will buy it. Horse teeth and toe nail clippings (gross, I know) could sell on eBay....that cassette holder will be removed from your hands in no time!

I'd take one if it could be modified to take 8-track tapes

Sorry - the image of a Becker 8-track stuffed in the dash just flashed to mind - too painful to think of ...
