You asked about Tim Holt...I have known him for a long time and I did buy a 993 from him for my bride...I have also sent a number of folks to him and to a person they were happy with Tim and their new Porsche.......

He enjoys a great reputation in a tough business.....Give him a call

I recenlty bought from Tim Holt. I suggested him as he's fairly close to you.

I think Tim buys very solid cars. He also don't over-sell them, he's fairly causal in his sales approach, as a good 993 will sell itself, and he knows this. I'd reccomend taking a look at his shop.

I had an Oil Pressure issue with my car but it turned out to be a non-issue, and the car is solid.

Naturally you should get an independent PPI done.

No affiliation etc.

Good luck

Phil

Bigass +1.

IMO that's a 993 done very nicely (and some pricey mods too).

Friendly advice: drive several. If you drive a not-so-good one at first, you may not enjoy (ask me how I know).

How big is your garage? Wouldn't take a whole lot of headroom to use a 4 post lift and double-deck the 997 and 993.

Leave the 997 outside.

In a few months, you will realize this was the correct choice.

Now that's funny! I have a nearly mint 993 Cab in the garage that gets out on nice days (and some track days) and a 997S as a daily driver that sits in the driveway at night. I like your thinking.
