+1, I want to see how far off it is! Oh, and can anyone answer the question: Can widebody rear wheels be made to fit a NB by shaving the hubs on a lathe?

I have looked into this -- not enough material on the hubs or driveflanges. Not sure about the wheels themselves, but I dont think there is enough casting to remove 20 mm's.
You will not get widebody wheels (i.e. ET40) to fit on a narrowbody UNLESS (i) you are prepared to roll fenders; AND (ii) pull the fenders as well. IMHO the most aggressive offset you can fit in the rear (assuming 10" wide rims) of a NB is around ET50-52 and they will require rolling the fenders at a minimum and also potentially limitations on tire makes and sizes.

Thanks David.
I have been looking into more aggressive offset wheels in 18".
There seems to be more of an abundance of used Turbo wheels than n/b wheels.
What about:
Size: Front 18x8" / Rear 18x10"
Offset: Front 50mm / Rear 47mm
Hmmm.... I suggest that on the next "Dallas gathering at Starbuck on Preston", give Mark Wilson a tall coffee. And when he's not looking, unbolt the rear wheel off his C2S and bolt it on one of the NB. Then take a picture.
However, with the rear offset of 52mm, the wheel would stick out .5 inch past the original wheel, and it's a 10.5 inch wheel which means it would stick out .25 inch beyond the 10" wheel /w 65mm offset. Add .5 and .25, I think it these wheels would stick out .75 inch from the original wheel. That would touch the outside fender lip. This makes sense?
I looked long and hard into this when I first got my car because I got a set of hollow twists from a TT for cheap. Bottom line is that you cannot shave more than 5mm of the wheel hub as it would compromise the integrity of the wheel. I put them on my car only to drive them out to the border after I sold them to another RLer south of the border. IIRC, the wheels stick out about half an inch and it looks absolutely ridiculous, not to mention that it could damage the fenders if you take a hard corer or go over a bump/pothole at speed.
I wanted to stick with OE so I bought a set of NB twists and put on 7mm spacers in the rear and 14mm spacers in the front. I did this firstly for performance reasons but it does fill the fenders and looks great.
I have seen a couple 993's on the road with 996tt wheels and they stick out a lot! Neither car was lowered so I don't know if there was rubbing, just looked weird. One of these cars was behind me and looking in my mirror I thought it was a widebody car because I could see the rear rubber from the front. When he passed me I saw how funny it looked.

Please let us know (Jeff and I) the next time you guys meet at SB on Preston.
