Being the performance car addict I am, that is not "rice" one bit. That is actually an amazingly done up Evo, and the Evo does what it was built for , and that's straight up performance driving, beautiful

A lot of car for little money. The performance value in some of these modern cars is astounding. What can be done in mods for a few thousand dollars is even more amazing. Too bad we have to spend tenfold to achieve similar results in our 911's. Sigh.

Yes, amazing value. I have not driven one yet. I did go for a quick ride in a Subie WRX STi and was very impressed. When the new Evo X comes out, it's going to be a real winner. I may consider getting one as an autox car. Don't paticularly care for the look (when compared to a 911), but you just can't beat the performance for the $$.

How do you compare the driving experience to your C4S?

I loved my Evo. Selling it was one of the biggest automotive mistakes I ever made.

The c4s like any other porsche car has its own class but performance wise My honest opinion not to offend anyone this pocket rocket is a lot better in and out of the track. But hey guys its just a toy still love my porsches and would never exchange it for this. ok let refraise it. its a great daily driver for the rain

Alvin, those rims look sick with the red stripe.

BTW, my rice machine cooks 20 cups at a time, white with a removal aluminum pot. The lid is polished stainless with a black plastic center piece for a handle. Cooks rice so fast it's a rice rocket.

hahaha. I haven't seen you for a while man. Let me know when you're coming by.

I have an STI as my commuter/dirty/"beater" and it is a great and reliable, fun and practical car, with the exception of crappy mileage. Very happy with it.

Don't get me wrong, I really like my new 993, but I'm new to Porsche and not yet as dedicated as some others. It's an awesome machine, but honestly, I think my expectations were higher than the reality. Yes, I was one of those people who thought the laws of physics did not apply to 911s.... before I bought it that is. I also expected a little more acceleration - not whining though as I'm pretty happy w/ it..

I don't use my p-car as a daily driver. I'll use it primarily for auto-x stuff and eventually some DE's and time trials. I simply want a car that I can autox and have the most fun with combined w/ the best bang for the buck. I'm not as educated in this area as I'd like to be, but for the $$$, the Evo appears to be one of the all-time best bets. If I can have as much fun, or more, with another car, for less expense, I'll certainly consider it.

In the meantime, I'll likely keep my new (to me) 993 for at least one year, learn it's ins and outs, and then make my decision on whether to keep it or exchange it for some other type of predominantly track-use car. So far, alternate considerations are Mitsu Evo IV or V, Subie WRX STi, Mazda Miata, older 911 (or even 914), old Datsun 510 (not likely though), or older BMW M3, or.... I know there's another one on my list, but I can't recall what it is right now.

I have an '07 STI Ltd for my daily commuter. It is a sick little machine. With snows and locking the differential, it is amazing in the snow. With a little engine management, and a free'er flowing exhaust you get some crazy numbers.
