The one I replaced gave me a bit of a fit as well. Just ensure they are pressed back far enough, and press them in while closing the arm in the trunk. I felt like I was going to break it but it went right back in.

Justin,

Thanks for the quick reply. I did try pushing the entire assembly back into the housing as far back as possible (lens was flush with the body) but it sure seems resistant to seating with the arm. I just found a tip on using some soap film to help lube things up. I'm tired from a full day of cleaning up the garage and wrestling with these lenses so I'll give it a go tomorrow. By the way those MY02's look great-maybe my next upgrade.

Dave, I had the same problem with one of my lenses and had to do what Justin said. It seems that the new rubber that seals the back of the headlight against the body, having never been compressed before is the cause. Once the headlight has been seated for a couple days/weeks it won't be a problem any more. I've had mine out quite a few times for headlight adjustments and except for the initial problem I had after replacing the lens they've been fine. Good luck!

Thanks Dave,

As Ron said, its the new gasket on the headlights that causes the issue. Keep working with it, it will fit eventually

I got a pair last year on eBay, OEM but not Porsche, for about $60 each brand new. Lots of good stuff if you're willing to buy internationally. IIRC those came from Poland or Finland.

Can someone confirm that the same lens is used for the standard headlights and the Ltronic version? I notice this was asked earlier in the thread, but I did not see it addressed. Thanks!
