Default OT: Show us your unique Daily Driver or Winter Cruiser

Ok, got this idea from another Rennlister...it'd be nice to see what people are driving every day (or in the winter) - but I'm curious as to what's kinda different out there. Given that we're all Porschephiles, ie. we have good taste, and that we adore 993's, ie. we have the best taste it'd be nice to see what a bunch like us drive that keeps to our auto enthusiastic nature.

So I'll start the festivities with my '88 M635CSi (or M6). Picked it up last November - and just drove it from Toronto to FLA and back (and through a massive white-out storm in the Buffalo area - no surprises there ). I had a '95 Passat VR6 but given the opportunity to own this baby - it was an easy decision. I've always loved these models growing up - and it's only 20 years later now that I'm able to enjoy one.

my friend you indeed have good taste! I just sold my E30 M3. I'm in the market for a new DD and looking at Range Rovers.

Default OK, I'll Play!

Here is my 20 year old S class. It has 91k miles on it and needs nothing. The paint and interiior are in great shape.

Here is another shot:

Well, hmmmm, thank you You know, I can probably count on my fingers (if I knew how to count) how many E30 M3's I've seen in person in my life. They're outrageous and are very very cool. I'm also a huge fan of the Range Rovers - but way out of my league

Oh, this is going to get good. This model S-class was my first experience in a higher end luxury car - I remember the ride back from the train station in my rich friend's dad's car - was awesome. Great ride!

Wasn't this also the car that MC Hammer made famous and where AMG really took off and got their reputation?

Did somebody say Range Rover? Here's my Whistler wagon.

This is my second RR Sport that I just got this December. The first one was a blk/blk supercharged. Amazing truck but one blk car is enough work and going up to Whistler was keeping me pretty busy at the wash bay. The 390HP are great but unnecessary and so is gas consumption. The HSE is good enough but needs new wheels. I really don't like those 19s.

Enrico: love the old school M6. I've always been fond of those cars and you've got a stunning example.

That same rich friend whose dad drove me in his S-class bought his son a GTI 16V and I was hooked. My first car was a 1990 1/2 GTI 16V with the Eurpoean round lights, Recaro seats and BBS wheels (it eventually got stolen). The R32 would seem to be the natural progression to me - that's a great machine and has a place in any enthusiast's garage IMHO.

New wheels or not - sweet ride. As I said before, I don't know what it is about Range Rovers, but they are very appealing. Very lucky you are...

Thanks. What's really sad these days, is that people don't look for heritage and pedigree anymore - I was at the BMW dealer a few weeks back and there was a guy looking at a new 6er. What I found amazing was that he didn't know that BMW made a 6-series before...or maybe I shouldn't be that amazed.

Default What a nice M6.

A Pre-Bangle beauty.

I use Bimmers as my daily driver as well. My first was a 86 524 turbo diesel. For the last 14 years, I drove a 7 series. The last was a black 93 740iL that I drove for 11 years and sold last year with 187k miles. It surprised a lot of people with its speed as it was chipped with a modded air intake and I changed out the stock 2.93 differential for a 3.73 with LSD.

I replaced the 7 series with a silver 03 M5. 400HP and snow tires is making for an enjoyable winter as well. I bought a dedicated set of winter tires and rims for the cold season then the Chrome Shadows go back on in the spring.

Well mine is a little more mundane...

1985 SAAB SPG with 240,000 miles on it - original owner added the euro headlights which makes for its best photo

here's mine (not actual picture of it). '06 Lariat, white with black leather interior. Maybe not the coolest, but it does have 20" rims and a kickin' factory 10 speaker stereo with sub that sounds like I'm in my living room

Thanks. I liked these trucks ever since they started selling in the US. Unfortunately, I always shyed away from the electrical problems that plagued them. That seems to be over now...hopefully.

Seems like there's some M fans around. Here's a couple of other past rides...
