Here is what I drive around.....full sized with a V10 (the Triton V10, displacing 6.8 liters, top at 275 hp with torque at 410 lbs/ft at 2750 rpm). This truck weights about 8500 lbs without anything in the bed (some tools in the side boxes). That V10 is a real nice engine...really hauls for such a large truck, torque like you would not believe! Pop the 4x4 on in the snow and no problems at all. The power tailgate has saved my back several times...and it protects anything in the box.
I notice a huge difference in the behaviour of traffic while in the truck as compared to the 993. In the truck when I make a lane change they make space ; in the 993 they tighten up and try to cut you off. In many ways the truck is a better ride in the city ; the 993 is better on the curves and the highway. Each has its own use I guess.
Oh, I run dual gas/propane and this truck is cheaper to run on fuel than the 993!

I just got mine its an 06 evo ix mr se and sure is the best for my buck dollar per dollar for hp. 
currently has 316 hp on basic bpu and tune. plus added kw coilovers variant 3 and it handles like its on rails.

In real snow, the F-150 does the job ....4x4 with locking diff, plus Bilsteins and SS headers on the 4.6l for fun.
The E34 535i really doesn't see snow - but occasionally gets out if the salt washes away: yes, I too like the 'classic' Bimmers.

I really dont drive a lot or have a "daily" driver. Havent had a commute in 10 years for the most part. Working out of the house and video confernencing pretty much has eliminated most of my daily driving.
Explorer in the snow, C4 in nice weather, Bronco when I feel like driving it or in the summer with the top off.

Here is my daily driver. They call it the four door Porsche. This car was ferried back and forth between the Mercedes factory and the Porsche facility in Stuttgart six times during its manufacture. It has a 332 HP 32 valve V8 and hits 60 in less than 6. Only several hundred of this vintage were built and it was one of the most expensive MB offerings at close to $90K in 1993. I like the fact that the only way you can tell the difference between this and the standard E class sedan of its day are the expanded fender flares over the front wheels.

thanks.. I had many VWs over the years so this one just made a lot of sense to me.
73 Super Beetle (my first car)
80 Rabbit (my first beater car)
88 16v Scirocco (my first new car)
87 Fox (2nd winter beater car while the Scirroco saw no snow.. lol)
93 Fox (eventually replaced the 87 with a newer model)
01 New Beetle (reliving the Beetle nostalgia)
and now the R32

My daily driver is a 2005 Cadillac CTS-V. 400 hp and 395 ft. lbs. of torque. Its has an all aluminium block, it is the same motor that came in the Corvette Z06. It has a 6 speed manual Tremec transmission and 14.5" Brembo brakes. Cadillac even put in a strut brace to say that this isn't your Dad's Cadillac.
This car runs great, and the noise from the big V-8 under acceleration is strictly American muscle. It runs on regular gas, and gets about 24 miles per gallon on the highway, YMMV. In town I average about 16.

I never really liked the looks of that caddy BUT I have a healthy appreciation for what it is. I have a lot of respect for the Z06 vette as well but don't think I would ever own one (but never say never)

Here is my weekend ride (or anytime it is nice out ) and my DD. 2002 E55 AMG with 19" wheels and Kand N filters.
It has over 80K miles and drives like a dream!

Mine is a Mercedes E55 wagon. 
Not exactly the smartest choice for the snow belt, I know. That said, I have driven her in 6 inches of the slushy stuff with no problems.
Somehow my wife wound up with the RS-6...
