Flew for UAL for 39 years (DC-6, Convair, DC-8, DC-10, 727, 737, 747-100/200, 747-400, 757, 767, 777), retired in 2003, and used to own a 993, among many other Porsches. Went to the dark side (Ferrari) in 2004. Still appreciate and love Porsches, especially air cooled.

During that flight I also flew up to Aspen ...

* sorry, but I like to share pictures.

A320 Captain.
Bought my 993 as a BAe146 Captain, lost my job a month later when the operator went bust. I'd been with them 13 years. Gotta love aviation.
New company operated 737-300s (like the yellow one in my avitar), and now A320s. We've been absorbed into the national carrier (Air New Zealand)
Done my time in various Cessna and Piper singles and twins, DHC-8, BAe146, 737-1,2 and 300, instructing and training - ab-initio to 737 Training Capt.
Love the Airbus...easiest aircraft I ever flew. Spend my time flying from NZ to Australian east coast (3-4 hours each way) and Pacific Islands (3-5 hours) on ETOPs. We spend a lot of time over the water!
Work with several other Porsche drivers...and the boss drives a 996 cab. Of course, I didn't rub in the fact that I beat him in the slalom at the last driver training event...much

And the only reason they are so good is because there are no 5 engined aircraft
777 pilots may disagree.
Besides, all those overweight dinosaurs won't fit onto many of the runways we fly into

You can say that again, but dang!! What cool pictures!!!
Imagine crop dusting in an airliner, cause that's basically what that looks like! Takes major brass ones to do that for a living! Am I wrong?
