Yes, I powdercoated mine. The look was a ten, although they don't tell you that powdercoating will also add a few mils of thickness to the end of each fan blade. Mine scraped just a tad and rubbed a little red onto the fan housing. My mechanic said there was zero risk of any damage to anything, but I still had a slight red smear in the housing for the fan blades. FYI...

Thanks for putting my engine pix up. I have been out of town and just saw this thread. My fan was painted and the painter only lightly did the fan tips to prevent any smearing. Even then, I do have a spot. This is a realy close fit.
By the way, my car is still at the body shop and have not even been started to put the new roof on!! He said I will have the car back before springtime. I hope so!!!!
