Best Places to Have Your 993 Serviced/Fixed?

I can't WAIT for my car to next break down so I can finally take it to ASG in Virginia. Thanks for the recommendation you Maryland guys. It sucks that there's not a great, reliable shop in the Rockville MD area anymore. Oh well - Virginia's not really THAT far to drive for reliable Porsche wrenching.

In San Francisco there is only one place, The Stable. Allen and Charles know their stuff. They actually try to talk you out of mods and are completely committed to the air cooled genre. They love your car more than you do and do the magic that makes the difference between a terrific job and the best work...that space between science and art to whcih we all strive.

Thanks to Viper Bob and Chris Walrod, I have not done too badly. That being said, Kinetic Motorsport in Buford, GA have been unbelievable. They really treated my like a celebrity. I even got a ride in the owners new R8! They called when they said they were going to call, fixed what they said they were going to fix (correctly, the first time) and charged what they said they were going to charge. BTW, Butch worked on my car 'till almost 10:00PM to get it out on time. HUGE PROPS!

BBC in North Little Rock here. There are few choices, but I've found Chuck Blair to be incredibly knowledgeable, straightforward and fair. I have also been lucky that I haven't had to use him much!

+200%! Taylor is the only one who touches my car... when he installed my new clutch, he rewired the supercharger because it was "messy" ... he's the best. If you call ASG, be sure to ask for him...

From: Seattle xburb - I can't see the Emerald City, but I know it's out there somewhere
We have more good indie Porsche shops in the Puget Sound area than you can count on both hands, so I don't mean to exclude any place - but I can't imagine there being a better shop than Gerber Motorsport in Seattle.

Here's another true story:
I needed an air filter so I called the closest local shop to my house, Dave White Racing. They sounded really cool over the phone, so I ordered it and went to get it that afternoon. Met the new owners, and they around an hour showing me around, talking about their plans for the place, etc...It all seemed too good to be true. I was thinking; "for this kind of service and knowledge, I'll have to pony up a kidney or something if I ever want some work done." So I left with my filter, impressed.
So a few weeks later, I need a clutch slave cylinder. I call htere for an estimate and was floored that the price was so reasonable. I had them do the work (perfectly) and stayed to chat a while after. Got another tour of the current projects, and was again impressed.
In case you haven't figured it out by now, I'd been dealing with ViperBob without knowing it. No one touches my car except me and Vortex Motorsports. http://vortexmotorsport.com/index.shtml
