Misfire

Just put a new battery in it. Cranked over and started no prob.
Drove it to work the morning after, no prob ( I think, it was dark). First noticed the smoke driving home in the afternoon. Went away as soon as I got on the motorway.
No worries, I'll find it...but it's a thing I could do. Tere was a lot of condensation in the cab, so I'll attack the under seat electronics with contact cleaner tonight. AFTER I tried starting her up without the maf. If that doesn't work, I'll unplug the O2 sensor.

Thanks to the tip from red rooster, I've determined it's the MAF. Unplugged it, started her up, she went to 1000 rpm, settled on 750-800 after a minute or so, no smoke, and no misfires when revving.
Thanks to you all ! I'll treat her to a new MAF and some new sparkies to go along with the rotors and caps.
Edit : it's running a bit rough when driving without the MAF. Anyone know what the symptoms are while driving without it connected ?
