Default Q: OEM Turbo S fog light and duct install

Is it possible to install the attached Turbo S fog light and brake duct without removing the bumperette? I'm not interested in the clear corner and would like a plug and play with minor modification and no paint. Thanks in advance.

i saw a thread here while searching the archives about cutting the clear "euro" corner lights to fit the same as the US corners w/bumperettes.

If you are asking if you can install euro parts on a US bumper I suspect that won't work with the larger euro turn signal lenses.

Even if they did fit, do you really want to have the cutout for the bumperette showing?

I just left the bumperettes on mine when I had the front repainted because even though its a cleaner look w/out bumperettes I didn't think the cost of filling the cutouts was worth the money. I also have a black car and they aren't as obtrusive looking. I don't see how you can get around painting.

I could be wrong, but I think your two choices are either a new/used euro bumper cover or fill a US bumper cover and respray.

The picture you posted is a TechArt style fog light/duct setup. Also, that picture looks like the eBay seller from Hong Kong doing TechArt knock-offs. You might do a search as most RLers who purchased those found fitment to be very poor. Also note that there's no running light in this knock-off version. Just an fyi...

I'm interested in installing the above Techart "S" foglight and duct and would like to know if I could install with the stock bumperette and turn signal. Thereby, avoiding removal of the ettes and subsequent bodywork.

epj993, is that a "S" foglight and duct in your avitar?

Yes, you can install TechArt S duct/fog in the standard fog light slot, i.e. the bumperettes can stay. When the bumperettes are removed, it's the longer (Euro) turn signal lenses that must be installed to fill the space.

BTW, I still have the stock fog light setup.

No, I wasn't there last month. I'm still a member but just been very busy. But, I may just be able to make it Feb 3. If so, I'll try to find you in the crowd.

Is the TechArt S duct/fog setup the same as the "P93 Brake Duct and Fog Light" kit offered by Carnewal? How does it compare to the "P93 Turbo S Air Scoop" - disregarding all of the brake duct work in the TechArt kit, i.e., are the foglights comparable? It appears the one-piece Turbo S kit would be an easier install if you don't need the brake cooling, except the foglight isn't as cool looking. Sorry for the hijack.

Both kits fit in the same slot as the stock fog light assembly. The "Brake Duct with Fog Lights" kit are true fogs with a running light (TechArt style). Gert's Turbo "S" Air Scoops only hold a 5W running light, not a fog light. If you like the Turbo S style but want a fog light, try Better Bodies, Getty Design or MA Shaw.

Thanks Eric. Did you have to "modify" the bumper opening to get the genuine TechArt duct and foglight to fit as mentioned in another thread?
