I was perfectly happy until November when the weather turned to crap and "princess" had to stay in the garage more often than not. I then found myself doing crazy things like making excessive trips to the garage just to "check" on her. Now all I can think of is ways to change her(RS steering wheel, shifter, wheels, pss9's,etc). Maybe upgrade to a C4S or add a 964. When I mentioned to someone that I might want a second 911, they asked why! Why? Why not!!! Don't they get it. I need help!
Cheers, Tim.
Tim...you are not alone. And further, trying to explain the feeling we get, is like trying to convey what sex is like to a virgin. They will never understand until they experience it for themselves.

My own story: 14 years old and my sister's boyfriend directs my brother and me to "go get your shoes on...it's time to go do some man ****, you two are going to LEARN how to drive a stick shift!" He had a brand new 911 (1979) and took us to an abandon race track where he demo'd the cars dynamics, power slides, high speed braking, slaloms, cornering, etc. Then he let us take turns learning how to drive the thing. After a couple of hours he took us on the freeway for additional performance demonstrations. I didn't even know what a Porsche was before he took me for a ride that changed my life. The desire for one has been in my blood ever since. That was 26 years ago, and I just purchased a Black/Gray 95 C4 this past December because I could not take NOT having one any longer. I found as close to what I wanted in Denver, flew in and drove the hell out (back to CA) before all that snow hit. I haven't done anything to the car yet, but first chance I get, I'll be on that slippery slope...willingly. Yes, I understand it will be expensive, but so what...it's just money...and I will make more of it. It's replaceable. The intangibles of owning these cars is not. I'm not advocating being frivolous with finances, but rather, spending $$ on that which truly makes you happy, whatever that happens to be (within the context of reason, of course). These cars are special, and I've found just in the couple of months that I've had it, their owner's are special people too. Just look at this RL community. Once I get my baby where I want her, I think a Black 997S will look nice in the garage next to her. But the 993 will always be my first love.

The silver 993 RS will be at Thomas's shop on Tuesday. On the boat by Friday. He promises some nice pictures I can post.

I thought waiting for the GT3 was bad..............

Few people understand the passion.
