4WD BAH! C2 is all you need. I lived at the bottom of the hill on the southern tip of Mercer Island and drove up and down the snow covered hill with Porsches before they knew how to spell 4WD. All my neighbors left their cars at the top of the twisting hill. One day, as i was leaving my driveway at the bottom of the snow covered hill, a guy i hardly knew came running up to the car and yelled "let me in so i can see how you make it do THAT".

Snowing in Belltown (again) right now. I'm looking out the window at the new SAM sculpture garden. Haven't had the C2S out the past few weeks but the Cayenne Turbo with Scorpion ice and snows seems to like Seattle snow. Zipped around Clyde Hill with no problem. Wish I would have had the Scorps on her when I came down from Whistler on New Year's Day. 3 hours to go 19 miles.... The Diamaris go back on in the spring....

To all who are happy with your snow performance: What brand/model of tire are you running?

it's time to replace the snows that came with mine (i've never driven on them) and I'm looking for recommendations. TireRack surveys show M3s as top dog, with Blizzaks a close second, yet CR rates the M3s low. Hmmm . . . .

Thanks in advance.

The 911 doesn't get too far on my block when it snows as we're at the bottom of a huge hill. Have fun in the weather y'all folks. I keep mine in the garage unless it's sunny and dry outside.

I love this mailbox shot of the house...

You can just see Mr 993 sitting safely snug in the garage... Here's our winter hauling machine in inclement weather - the beater.

It's 64 degrees today in January and I'm glad for a little warming trend. Hopefully global warming doesn't get so bad in my lifetime that we all have to live in Iowa and Kansas, the only part of the country not under water!

This is crazy. My wife parked our BMW at the top of our driveway and during the night it slid down 25 feet. I need to buy a lottery ticket because it stopped a 1/3 down and didn't incur any damage! Here are some pics. of our driveway; a) before any snow with the C4S, b) after the BMW slid down 25 feet, and c) AAA towing it out!

So much for the weather letting up, it just started snowing again. Thank goodness for AAA!

What "hill", what "snow"??????

This is my current driveway, with my wife driving up:

This is our snow, which did require the 4WD (not this year of 55 degrees forever):

it's a little hill, but that's ICE. The 328i sucks in the snow. Thank goodness for the Landcruiser!

Bring your snorkle when you come to Utah-Greatest Snow on Earth. You may need it to breath tearing it up on the slopes through powder can be so light and deep you sometimes choke on it. Good old high desert living for ya.

I havent out grown being a Snowbum everywhere I have lived.

You wimps...

It's going to be between 20 and 30 tonight. 20 and 30 below.

Not sure if I will take out the 993 tonight, though.

Man I love Jackson.

I'm sorry, I take that back.

You're not all wimps.

After all, Bull has to shovel his driveway while using his walker. That's impressive...

The problem with driving in the snow is all of the other numb nuts who think their brakes will actually slow them down. That, and the black ice. So mine's also in the garage (and also on the south end of MI, Bull)...
