Opinions on Sale Price please.....
I'm contemplating selling the 4S and would like some feedback on what fellow R-Listers think it may sell for.
I bought the car with 40k on it 4 years ago. It now has 96k on it. I'm the 3rd owner and I have all records since I took possession of it. Most of the mods were performed by a 25 year Factory Porsche Tech. I drive the car daily.
The car had a boo boo at the track about 18 months ago. Nothing serious, scraped the drivers side door and pinched the rear hip. I went all out and had the entire car repainted. All new bumper seals, window seals...etc. Finished with a 3m front clear bar. The car is mint. Interior is easily a 9 out of 10.
Thoughts...? Any and all welcome.

Yeah, I'm in the west end everyday. Live in Hanover though.
C'mon guys....32 views and no ones taking a stab at where I should price the car ? The respray and higher miles are throwing me off as to where I should offer it........

If the paint job is approaching perfection, $40K would be top dollar with $35K being alot closer to reality, IMHO. The two biggest things that are killing resale value are mileage and re-paint.

I was thinking mid-high 30s as well, Keith, particularly if you can show via pictures that the damage wasn't structural and reinforce that with the receipts from the body shop. Beautiful car, I remember it from when I picked up my C4 in Richmond.

Everyone knows good condition 993's (esp. C4S) are getting hard to come by.
96k may sound like a high number, but having a car driven only around 8k/year is no big deal especially with most/all the records.
The repaint can be seen on the other side of the coin also. It will definitely freshen up the car and really give it some snap to a perspective buyer.
I agree with jimbo, 40 is a good number and settle for a hair less especially with those mods...

Other sales of C4S's with mileage in the mid-80's and similar mods seemed to take a month or two and ended up around $36K to $37K, but with original paint. If you're looking to sell it as quickly as you were expecting a consensus here, it'll be significantly less. Pls PM me if that's the case.

Three Wheelin'
Depending on your oil consumption, status of CEL for SAI I'd guess somewhere in the low 30's with the SAI problem or high 30's without it. Repaint should be virtually impossible to tell from any overspray or poorly masked areas. If so, I think you'll get all the money! Good luck with the sale. If I missed it, whats next on the menu?

40k seems a good starting point. Beautiful car from what I can tell. Arena red sure is growing on me.
I think if Tim Wasmer's car had full black I'd consider pulling the trigger on her.

Assumming the damage was not substantial and only cosmetic, $37K - $40K. The repaint is not an issue on a car with those miles and that year...it might actually help.

You have only to wait for the right person to see your car in person. With new seals and a repaint, your exterior should stand head and shoulders above other examples with 100k miles. These cars take a lot of damage in the form of chips compared to most cars. If you were trying to sell a bone stock C4S with the repaint, I think you would run into more trouble with people that are put off by the repaint. Your signature describes a few tasty mods, the repaint only compliments everything else already done to the car. As others have said, probably starting around $40k, and if you are in no hurry can expect to get very close to that.
