Today the AC components came out (most of them), the radio, which will be replaced by the factory radio delete face plate, and the RS Shift Kit was installed.
The box below with all the AC lines, evaporator, dryer, compressor, fan, and other bits weighed 47 pounds, and thats without going into the dash:

Hey Rob,
What are you going to do with the A/C compressor STAND?
Are you going to leave it in or try to remove it?
If you are going to remove it, let me know how you did it.
Thanks
Kevin

Kevin-
I pondered that today as I was studying it...it appears that removing the stand is a bit more involved than just unbolting it. Quite honestly, I have no idea what my plans are for that yet.

I am suprised you removed the a/c, especially living in Florida. Will you really notice the car being 47lb lighter?
Factory clubsports were available with a/c, my under hood sticker states both 003 and 573 (a/c) options. pic below.
Even here in the Uk I find it useful when driving on track in the summer and wouldn't be without it.
Previuosly when tracking with a friend in a cup car, he came in to the pits after 10 mins, I wondered what was wrong with his car and it was nothing more than HE was overheating, causing the problem...worth thinking about?

Clubsport1,
I am aware that the RSCS had an AC option. My "busy" times at work here are in the spring and summer, at which time I dont even have time to think about cars (from March thru September), much less attend a track event...so the AC matters to me not in this car. If I want to drive a p-car with AC, I'll drive my 98.
Will I personally notice 47 pounds?...probably not. But I will notice 47 + 15 + 25 + 60 + 13 + 10, etc....you get the picture. It all adds up. I definately notice a 170 pound difference when I have a passenger...
