Well Tim the second message is stuck in cyber nowhere so here it is. If you look at the pic, you'll see I cut the aluminum to go around the seat belt hole. You can just make out the remainder of the original mounting hole just behind the seat belt hole. It drops quite a bit in the rear. Now you may be able to see that my seat is bolted to a fixed rail and not on the slider which gave me even more room, but I have no slider so if you go that route, get it right the first time
The pass seat has the slider and the stock bracket with no alterations so I know the seats do bolt right in and without any real mods to it. I actuall fit in it, but the height is to much for me and the seating position is not right for me .......but it oes work and slides

Hummmm
I have the 996 Sport seats not the GT3's.
I read somewhere about "reversing the rails" but it made no real sense to me. I am going to take my coffee ut and study this setup a bit.......

Tim, is it possible to take a picture of your seat rails and how they are mounted in your 993?
I must be missing something.
In the picture, it is clear the rail is bolted on the floor at an angle on a 996 (holes next to the sticker), and Mark made my Xmas
telling me that I have two brand new 996 sport seats for my 993.

That is what mine look like. Do search and you will find the pictured instructions for the install. You have to rotary cut the 4 black studs off the bottom and flatten that angle piece on the bottom as well. After that they bolt right in. Although like I said above it is a bit higher, not much but enough if your hair is sticking up it rubs the roof ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

996 Sport Seats will sit appox 1-1/2 inches higher in the 993. There is no adjustment fo that as the 9963 have the chassis seat rails mounted right on the floor essentially rather than on elevated seat rails like the 993s. If you are shorter and raise your seat anyway, or if you DO NOT do track events where you need a helmet, then you might be OK. The bolt pattern is the same (yeah you have to get rid of the bend in the front seat rail mounting point).
The Euro GT3 can be adjusted as Chirs has done, or simply buy the Brey Krause brackets for an instant bolt in.
