Alvin,

Talk to Bob Grigsby at RMG. He has a top-notch shop. Tell him that Pong and Jim Morton sent you.

Good luck.

What does a regear cost and is it a complete rebuild of all wear items? Forgive the noob question but not familiar with the internals.

I've been pricing it out. It's stunningly expensive, for what it is. The gear pairs cost quite a bit if aftermarket, and even more if OE. Figure $5-7k+ with lots of variables.

When you consider all of the issues of HP increases on an OBD2 car in CA as well as how little you can accomplish in actual changes on the torque curve, gearing, brakes, weight loss and suspension tuning are where it is at on NA cars.

My $0.02
+2..........But it also helps to learn to drive the car correctly, I've seen guys in older low HP 911's smoke a guy in a 993 on the track because he didn't know how to get 110% out of his chassis or had some serious pucker factor going.
