Default Update: New BSA Wheels on the way, initial opinion

So, I read all I could find on BSA 215 wheels. The weights seem reasonable and I like the look.
I'm posting this to share what I see as a really good deal... no affiliation at all AND the wheels are not here yet.
However, so far things look really good. The supplier has been really responsive. I sent payment this morning and he gave me tracking #s 30 minutes later. Price was $589 +shipping (total shipped to me in Cal. was $659) Here is a link to a current eBay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=260058221361
The seem like a decent track wheel as they are not overly heavy.
I will follow up with comments after I receive them... and post pics with them on my car after all of the projects I'm doing this winter, including suspension
Here is a pic:

Nice Mark,

Maybe we'll get to see it live one of these days. Jim Morton is putting something together around New Year's or Superbowl Sunday for a BAR drive.

Ahhh... the Superbowl Sunday run ! P-Cars, light traffic, good roads, nice scenery, car-folks and lunch to boot. What more do we want ?

At the rate time seems to be moving this year, the run will be upon us sooner than we think. Yippee !!!!!!!

I had these on my boxster and loved the look, in fact my 993 came witt MY02 5 spokes and im going to be selling them for another pair of the BSA 215a(s). BSA makes a 18x11 with and et52 that has that deep dish that looks soooooo good.

Well, you shouldn't have any trouble selling those MY02 5 spokes! I have a set on my 964 and I looked for a set for months. Of course, then someone listed a set for sale here on RL as soon as I found them... timing is everything I guess

Those 5 spokes are light. Like them a lot.

There are 2 sets of teh BSA Eagle Rocks... Great wheels and are pretty light.

The BSA factory guys took a tour of BBS and they took lots of notes and have copied their casting technology.

One with the 1 inch lip on all four or the set that has the nice 3.5" deep dish in the rear.

Either set is awesome. But who doesn't like a deep dished wheel?

Steve, I'm not sure that the wider will fit a NB car, will it?
I went with the 50mm offset in front and 60mm in rear. I have a NB car.

Weights were posted here: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=35947

Jon, I'm not selling my MY02s. I think katrina (above post) is considering it. Good luck!

2na, I started this thread sort of advertising what I had found since I thought it was a good deal. Here is the link again of ONE supplier (the one I am using) for these wheels. I am sure there are others. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=260058221361
Also, here is the link to BSA's web site: http://www.bsa.com.my/web/newfproduct_full.htm
The wheel pictured above is the BSA 215a (18")
Send him an email and ask what he has available. That is what I did. The guy is very responsive and pleasant to deal with so far.
Good luck!
