Love the ceramic tile, Freddy!
I'd probably beat the crap out of it in short order with floor jacks, dollies and the like, though. Hopefully paint will look OK.

As already I said, with tiles, anything cleans out really easy and if you don't start dropping heavy items on them, theyare pretty strong too (I jack & jackstand my car without any plywood etc.)

Nice floors!
What is my best option for installing a floor over peeling paint and pitted spots? It's a small one car garage--but a nice floor will do wonders for it!
Do the Swiss Trax and Racedeck type tiles trap water and dirt under them, requiring a removal and cleaning after X number of years? Or does the dirt and grime drain out from under them using soap and a hose?

Anyway, I had these same questions. Swiss Trax has "Diamond Trex" and "Rib Trex". The Diamond Trex tiles and race deck are solid pieces and do not allow water or dirt underneath them. The Rib Trex are not solid pieces.
No real preparation for these other than sweeping.

I'm trying to decide what to do but I think I'd be scared of using ceramic. Given my ability to drop heavy stuff on the floor (mufflers, rotors, etc), I'd be afraid of cracking the tiles.
