Is this going to figure into the repair estimate pool? I may still have a chance!

A few more pics I took a couple weeks ago to help you out. Love the shaved look. Can't wait to see how she turns out. Go for it!

Jason Andreas who makes your rear deck lid ? Is that RUF as well. Looks flatter than the OEM tail.

As long as you don't drive in the rain they are great and really look incredible. The second you open the window the water will run off the roof and into the passenger compartment. In the 2nd photo I posted you can see the water/morning condensation just runs off the roof and down the window.

My rear decklid was made by MA/Shaw but unfortunately the RUF in photos I posted does not belong to me. The owner is leonsamonas.

Having pretty much committed the entire Ruf 993 catalog to memory, I have never seen a "Ruf" rear tail offered for anything but the entire rear assembly for the CTR-2. When I asked them about switching to a Turbo S tail from a standard Turbo tail (to match with the Ruf CTR-2 front bumper/spoiler), they said that the "S" tail was a splendid upgrade.

I'm not familiar with the tail on Leon's car, and I'm not familiar with the "RS" tail. Is it possible that the single photo resolves both of those questions?

PS... I'm in So California, where it NEVER rains... I don't even have the wipers on my car. Can you see why those shaved gutters are sooooooo tempting?

Andy,

Only my best friends call me "old fartus"... please use the far more formal "Mr. Emeritus" until we are better acquainted

The easy part is adding the Ruf mirrors... they glue on to the vent panes. The harder part is removing the stock mirrors, which leave 3 rather large holes in the door. These must be filled and painted, and if you give a moose a muffin, you will end up blending the fenders. Lots of paint required for such a small thing. Not positive I would do that again!
