Default What types of bulbs go in the fog light housing?

I did a search. I also checked the owner's manual. No love there.

I gather each fog light housing has 2 bulbs, one for the parking light, one for fogginess. What are the bulb types? Available at the local "Ugh Auto Parts" store or special order?

Many thanks, I have one that's going on and off (bad filament I suppose) and it's making me crabby.

Thanks

Thaddeus

For the foglights, the code is Halogen H3 12volts , minimum 10 watts
For the sidelights, the code is T4W / Ba9s 12 volts 4 watts
have a nice lunch

minimum 100 watts
Huh?!? Do you mean maximum? Even 100W in such a small space would generate a ton of heat, wouldn't it?

There was some discussion about a dude who supplies these little positioning lights with LEDs. I bought a pair, and they fit fine, but didn't f*!@%king light up. Now that I think about it, the polarity is probably just reversed but I don't want to go snipping wires just for that.

You are right, polarity for the T4W LED's is reversed.
there is an easier way than to switch the wires.

The bulb plug has two grooves to fit in, one way.
on a grinding stone, I grinded off the grooves and plugged the thing the other way.
With the proper LED's, I have positioning lights, the same color as my litronics.

Ok, great idea, thanks! Did you buy the big multiple-LED bulbs or just the bulb with 1 LED in it? I have the single-bulb unit, but I'm not sure that will even be bright enough.

There are three types I found and tried.
two had one LED, one concave and one convex (DOME).
These do light but the ones I got do not emit much.

the ones I settled for are 4 in 1 superflux LEDs. those were the brightest of the three
I do not know if there is better

i put in sylvania blue stars for my fogs bulb replacements... much whiter light & matches my new headlights which are blue stars as well. that little pos light bugs me being yellow... nice 'led' hack geo!

upgrade to ducts (sans lights) this weekend... so won't have to think 'bout either anymore
