LA Porsche Dismantlers from LA on Ebay...
Guys there seem a tad shady. Any experience?
Asked for a quote for 993 factory Red front seat belts and they blurted out a quote of $500, kinda like he was guessing and hoping I'd just bite and buy it. Sunset quoted me about $300 for a new pair!
They just give me an odd/creapy vibe everytime I call. I guess that's only twice but they do have a lot of parts it seems so I just want to check if anyone has experienced them.

It still a salvage yard, with junkyard dogs and everything!! What we should expect??? Star treatment? NO!!, but for what is worth, I recently bought a GT3 front clip, smooth transaction, it arrived 2 weeks later at PR ., cheers, Sonny.

The shop is going to replace it but I wanted to find one with the right faded pink appearance so I called around. I tried DC auto and Oaklahoma foreign first. Both of these places are reputable and honest people to deal with but didn't have it.
I called LA Porsche as a last resort, they said they were "out of them" at the moment but would get more in. I said, "OK, what do they go for"... he says $250.
$250 is MORE than you can buy new. I said "hey, I can get a new one for that much".
He says: :"what are you, a dealer?"
Conversation over.
These guys have made me feel like I need shower the few times I have called them.
What do I expect? SOmeone to run an honest business. Not asking much.
Don;t even get me started on my search for a set of rear seats with these guys... that was my first experience with them and I won't forget it.
If you have had good luck with them, great! I have heard if you deal face to face you are OK... but there are better ones out there.

They weren't nearly as bad as Oklahoma Foreign to deal with. The guy at Oklahoma Foreign acted like he was doing me a favor by checking on a few parts - in fact, his response to one question was "look, I don't know if we have any of those or not." At least L.A.D. went to the trouble of checking on parts for me (but yeah they were crazy expensive).

Ditto on L.A.D. i wont even waste my time. Most of you were on the mark, you can by new for about what the ask for there used parts.
The jury is still out on O.F. they owe me a credit of $100.00 for a rear bumper I purchased from them. We'll see how that goes when I need something.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Los Angeles Porsche Dismantlers. I live in driving distance so I do everything in person. Todd has been more than helpful. He was at the last Ventura Porsche show and swap meet.

Recent phone conversation ...
Me: "Are you really sure you can provide this part brand new? It's not available anymore....
LAPD: "What's your profession!?!"
Me: "ehh, sorry what do you mean?"
LAPD: "Yes where do you work?!"
Me: "ehhh...." (not quite sure what to answer; by far related to my inquiry)
LAPD: "Well, what's your profession since you know it better than me?"
I have no more to say to those guys, courtesy was not on their agenda that morning at least.
