I just put the HD/M030 suspension on my car too and it took three rounds of height and alignment adjustments to get it where I wanted it. It was a good exercise in getting to understand just how critical the alignment is and the dramatic impact it has on the handling of the car. Maybe you just need to have yours tweaked?

My 88 Carrera immediately became loose as soon as the temp dropped to 50 and below. It's gotta be the tires.

Maybe the car is good but the turn is off camber. I would think that combining a road with some altitude change and the occasional off camber corner would make for some interesting suspension input/output and potentially diminshed traction.
