How often do you wash/detail your car?

I find myself compelled to wash/detail my car essentially everytime I drive it. My neighboors must think I am crazy!
So how much time a day/week/month does everyone spend polishing their 993s?
Had mine for 2 weeks and I think im averaging about 2-3 hours a day =D
[the detail shop down the street charges $300 so if I detail my car everyday, I've made at least $2,000 a week in savings right?]

I have an exterior detail done by a detail shop about 1x every 3 months. . I detail the interior about 1x a month. Wash every couple of weeks.
The "new shoe" syndrom will probalby wear off over time. I own 3 vehicles so it becomes too time consuming for me to do everything-wax, detail, ect.

In all seriousness (for the thin skinned, chip on the shoulder 1/3), whenever it gets dirty. Depends on the time of year and how much/what use it gets. Exterior detail after every track event or every six months.
Is your car your daily driver, or is it a weekend toy? Every time a car is washed and or detailed completely, you are introducing some wear on the car, however small.

I wash it about every 2 weeks, I've waxed it 3 times since I bought it 2 months ago, but that's because I'm getting it ready for winter. Usually I wax my cars about every 3 months.

Weekend nice weather car only, so since I bought it in November of 2005 I've washed and waxed only once.
California brush after ever ride and it's working out great. Arctic Silver probably hides dirt a little better though....

I wash mine when ever it looks dirty, or I feel compelled to wash it even if it's not. My neighbors think I'm nuts. Today we had 40 mph winds, I was out there washing her, as it hasn't been washed in a few weeks. Put her in the garage, gave her a quick detailing. Griots 'Spray On Wax' works great.
I wanted to clean my other cars, but spent too much time on the P-Car.

Once a week wash and wax every 3-4 months. Mines a daily driver so I've gotten over having to clean it every time it gets some dirt on it. But I do wipe it off with a California duster a couple times a week to get the dust off.

Rufus is rarely washed, but is dusted and waxed often. Always garaged, usually covered when outdoors, and not driven in the rain. Essentially, its always clean except after an extended road trip. I have never used a professional detailer... I don't get the point.

Mine is a DD and I find that I wash it about once a week or more often when its really dirty. My commute takes me along the 101 adjacent to the ocean so I get some ocean mist on the car that seems to allow dust to "stick" to the car. That causes me to go nuts with the power washer 1-2x a week. I wax the car about every 3-4 months. Looking into claying the car next time round but man I hate spending so much time cleaning the damn thing! If I had the cash I'd have a fleet of cars and a full time detailer on the payroll.
