Default will a 997 steering wheel fit a 993?
i like the new 997 steering wheels. wondering if a 997 steering wheel fits a 993?

anyone try this mod yet?

No, a 996 or 993 steering wheel does not fit the 997 and vice versa.

The diameter of the 997 steering shaft is thicker than the one used in the 993/996.

Boris- Joe's question was "Does a 996 3 spoke steering wheel fit on a 997?" You apparently thought he asked if 996 will fit on a 993 so Gert was correcting your missunderstanding.

I'm not Gert but the 3 spoke wheels are 996's. I'll put one on my 993 some day.

A 996 wheel will fit on a 993. I have a 3 spoke FVD wheel. I think what Gert is saying is that a 997 wheel will not fit on a 993 or 996. And vice versa, a 996 or 993 wheel will not fit on a 997.

Default This wheel fits
I hope this helps. This wheel is off of a 996 and this is the 3 spoke wheel that will fit a 993.
