Mark,

Congratulations on your new acquisition! I own a 993, or Penelope Cruz. I have never driven a 997, but I would have no problem bangin Selma Hayek.

Mark, that wasn't Penelope Cruz in Spanglish. I think her name was Paz Vega - or something like that. Don't feel bad, easy mistake. I could see the similarity - they're both hot!

Nice job Mark!

I just picked a 997 also and I could not agree more with your comments. There is something about the 997 that is just toooo nice. Even though I'm currently suffering from the dreaded engine hesitation problem (car @ dealer), the motor and handling are exceptional. I really need the PSE or Fabspeed exhaust. I agree with all the electronic gadgets. While the 997 spent the w/e with electrical/computer issues, I took the roadster (no computers, a/c, radio, DME, etc......) for an extensive drive and sometimes more basic can be more fun. It really is more fun to drive a slow car fast.

I also agree that the 993 is the perfect Porsche. I really thought about getting another 993 TT that, unlike mine, was unmolested. The 997 I found just happend to be matching colors with the 356 and even though it is a bit queer and nerdy, they do look great together.

Good luck with your car & good luck on the track.

Congrats Mark. Sounds like you've got a great stable of cars coming together. I appreciate the comparison as I've been considering a 997 for DD work. Just not sure yet.

Enjoy in good health.

Thanks for the comments, guys! It's a cool car.

obchuck, you're right. It's Paz Vega and not Penelope. I had talked about the movie with a friend and he said it was Penelope, so it stuck in the back of my head. When mentioned Penelope's "role", I kept thinking, "How did I miss that it was her?" Now I know.

I hope I can make it to the November meet. I am slammed at work.

Not to worry,....you're no wuss, pal. Thats the difference between a production-based suspension and a custom high-end one.

FWIW,...I do have Clubsports for 997's sitting right here next to me. I could have them in your hands within 24 hrs and fix that "problem" right up,...

Steve,

Chris is wrong; you're not evil, you're multiply malevolent, malicious and malignant.

Throw in a month-long Penelope Cruz+Paz Vega menage a trois and I'll buy Motons for the 997, the Miata and the Sequoia!

Seriously, this car is not going to go on the track. I hope I don't have to go back and delete these words...
