My cabrio is now officially for sale
Ok guys and gals. The decision is made I'm selling the cab. I got a couple of emails of interest from US buyers so I decided to make the car available to the US markt as well. I checked with US customs and since the car was bought originally in the US there is NO tax to re-import. I quote from the document which can be found here: http://www.cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/...ortingacar.doc
It also seems that some of my customizations do not matter to some ( or they do and they want to get them for free ) so in order for the price to be reasonable for a US buyer and for me to get some money out of this, the car will come without the RSCS front spoiler, the sports seats and the TechArt steering wheel... These items I have decided to keep at least for the time being. So here are the specs of the car:
• 1995 Carrera 2 Cabrio
• 47000 miles
• Absolutely no accidents, clean carfax etc.
• H&R coilover suspension
• M030 Euro Sway bars
• 3 piece genuine RS 18” Wheels with Dunlop DSSR’s
• RS Clutch
• RS Flywheel
• RSR mufflers
• Factory big oval exhaust tips
• Factory Carbon Fiber interior
• Factory full leather interior including the dash and the visors.
• Supple Leather 12 way power driver seat, 8 way passenger, heated with Porsche Crests on the headrest
• RS factory special order Handbrake in Aluminum/Carbon
• MY02 Aluminum/Carbon shift ****
• Aluminum pedals
• Harman Kardon Traffic Pro Navigation/ CD player ( same as the factory unit)
• Front bumper was resprayed for stone chips and its now without bumperetes. Also Gert's front protection bar is in place.
• Euro white lenz front turn signals.
• KATZ HID headlights
• Clifford 2 way responder alarm with proximity sensor
• Red matching convertible top
• New cabrio motors and cables 2K ago
• Clutch, belts, plugs, slave cylinder all done 3-4K ago
• I have a stack of receipts, all manuals, etc.
I have also converted the front hood to stay open with a manual "stick" which is a factory Porsche part bought from Gert so no more need to replace the hood shocks The rear though need to be done...
The car , all of you know it and know how much I have in it and how well its been taken care off... Despite the recent deletions, I believe the car is perfect and needs nothing, plus it has some very desirable options and upgrades still on.
The price? I'm looking to get around 40K USD or Best Offer. Please do not low ball me, or expect to get my car for free...
Thanks to all again...I will put my car on the Autotrader next week and possibly ebay , but till then its only posted here to give a chance for someone to ****** it.
BTW my email again is dannyjf1@gmail.com

Danny,
I'm sorry to hear that you have to let her go... but you know best. Someone is going to get a sweet 993 Cab and I hope it will be a RL member.
Best of Luck to you.

Good deal though on a very sweet p-car! If I had the coin right now, I'd be making a trip out west to see you!

Wow...that is one awesome p-car!
Hmmm.....if only the girlfriend would let me re-mortgage the house so that I can buy a new toy.....
It's priced right....I don't think you'll have any problems selling it. But if I do somehow come up with a bit of cash.....I'll let you know. I'll eventually be in the market for a 993...there's not a lot of them for sale in Calgary. And red is one of my choice colours....
Good luck!
