No idea what the deal is here, but in general group buys need to be cleared with John D. first - perhaps that was an issue?

How did you guys find this thread? I was looking for it yesterday and could not find it. John D has to approve any group buys for sure but I think it would have been betterif he posted that in this thread so we know what's going on (if that is what happened...).
And I am still interested.
Another thought is that I have 10' of clearance to the bottom of my joists and 11' inside the joists. I was thinking of finding a two post and putting the posts between the joists. I would put the safty switch on the bottom of the joist so the car/truck would not hit the "roof".
Decisions, decisions....
Cheers,
Mike

you can rent a low Uhaul trailer with a drop tail gate. It will slide real easy on the palet its delivered to the warehouse on. once I got mine with part touching the ground i just drove the truck forward and the thing slid off to the ground.

I am starting to lean towards one of the 4 post units for $1899 that allow you to double park one car on top of the other. There seems to be a jack attachment of some sorts to allow you to work on a car on it as well.

The "double" lift looks pretty good and sure goes high enough. I would like to see one in person loaded to push on it on all angles. It would be neat to have this sort of lift built into the floor of my garage...when I don't need it its covered and when I need it **viola** a nice high lift.

I'm back. The rennlist admin. thought that I was a spammer which ,if you knew how inept I am with a computer, is pretty funny. So let's get back on topic. The lift is the one that Greg Smith sells and is made by one of the largest manufacturers in China. The rep tells me that they also make parts for Rotory and that Bend Pak is also Chinese. I don't know but they pretty much look the same. Also the warranty is very good with 2yrs. on the hydrolics and motor and 5yrs. on the rest.As for shipping I was quoted 120.00 to 150.00 delivered to my door with a lift gate truck to Pa. from Delaware. And I just got a quote to Texas for 200.00 I think this all adds up to the best deal all around. If you don't agree that's fine it's a free country. The one lift that does not even come into the equation is the Harbor Freight it does not lift nearly as high therefore any undercar work means sitting on the ground. No fun. If anyone is still interested please feel free to email me.

I haven't done anything because my concrete has cracked down the center and I would want to cut out the install area and refill with thicker concrete. That scissor lift (Bend Pak) was my next choice
