Cool! I've been wanting to make some of those. Can you post a link to the vendor?

I believe that they are removed when you leave your parking spot...you do not drive with them in place.

With a bit of wiring and ingenuity, they can double as bottle rocket launchers for either left lane bandits or tailgaters.

Counterpoint: Looks like a big old "Park next to me and slam into my door" sign. Without any sort of wrap around clip onto the door jamb, I'd also bet that they would be pulled off and chucked across the parking lot by the first (ok, maybe second) person passing by.

But then again, I am constantly surrounded by idiots and am a magnet for these types of people. Your results may vary.

By the way, is that that pipe insulation from Home Depot?

Nah, just find a car in a parking lot with these, and voila they are yours.

LoL @ brian, yes these do look like pipe insulation from home depot!

I think that its an invitation for people to not be as careful. I know most dont care, but I believe that there are some that do, and if they see that, they wont be as careful insuring their car door hits yours. The best thing is to still minimize parking lots - and if you have to park, find far out spaces orones next to handicap. Of course, I did that, straddling the line to the blue space and a handicap DID park there. They did not hit the car but it was close. Best to still leave room between you and blue space.

x2

also, i can just see after a few weeks use... a nice dust etched stripe down each side . & maybe a keying directly above....

i'd prefer to look for a lone spot & unfortunatley pay the $100 every couple years to have dings removed.... besides in l.a. we see maybach's stuffed into parking stalls @ the market... a cars a car.

now... plastic see-thru seat covers i may be interested in, yeah diamond patterned....
