Default breaking loose?

Not the rear end kind of breaking loose fortunately (or unfortunately, depending)...

I've been trying to remove the passenger side rear caliper, but the bolts seem to be frozen. Soaked them with bolt loosener and put as much torque on them as i could with a ratchet, whacked em with a hammer, used a short breaker bar (not much room in there) but no luck.

I'm leery about using a torch in there to heat them up since the brake lines are so close - any other suggestions? Any way to apply cold that would soak the bolt completely? Based on what i saw on the driver's side i have a feeling the problem is that the the 1/2" of threads closest to the rotor are rusty/gummed up...

Anybody have a gorilla i could borrow?

If your theory is true, then take a hammer and punch and in the very center of the allen head, give the punch a few good "wacks". That will shock loose the crap in the treads.

Try PB blaster if that's not the bolt loosener you have already tried.

I wouldn't be shy with the torch - the brakes get hot hot hot in track use, so you should be OK.

I whacked it some more - no luck... I'll soak it and see if I can break it free in the morning I guess :P
