Question Holt Motorsports

Anyone here bought their 993 from Holt? Looking at a couple of cars there and I'm curious as to experiences. I've read only good things about them here and on Pelican, and appreciate any specific feedback.

Or PM me if there's anything you'd feel uncomfortable posting on a public forum.

Thanks for any advice. Now that my RS replica is sold, the 993 hunt is in full swing...

I bought my 993 from him a little over a year ago. He's a straight shooter in my book.

I have always heard that he is honest about what he sells. I recall a recent thread about a dispute with him , and he stepped up to the plate and made it right for the buyer, even though it may not have been an issue he should have been responsible for.

Lots of good feeback on Holt. I met him at the CMP club race last year and enjoyed our talk.

Been to his place three times looking to purchase a 993. Tim is a straight shooter. Very genuine and will take as much time as you need explaining the differences with every one of his cars. Prices are a tad bit high but he really does put quality cars on the lot. I test drove the 97 pastel yellow and I could not find one flaw with the car. Decided I couldn't live with the color (just not for me). I see 993s from time to time on the web that look pretty nice but I'd prefer to buy from a guy like Tim if possible. Now if he would just put an 98 Artic Silver C4S on his lot he would take my pain away. Good luck in your search.

I was there this morning and as everyone here described, in my brief meet with him, he was upfront about the car and he even took me on a short drive, wheee! I'm seriously thinking about getting a 993 from him.
Did you ever get your 993?

I bought my 1996 Carrera 4 from Tim back in June. Overall I am happy with
the purchase but there have been a few issues. I talked to Tim about the
issues and he suggested a course of action but the car was sold with no
warranty so he had no obligation to cover anything. The issues are really not
that big a deal in the overall picture so I will not hold it against him.
I am not new to the collector car hobby (but a newbie on Rennlist) so I understand that I purchased a 10 year old used car!

Just be sure you that you are clear where the car stands with it's routine maintenance. The was a little misunderstanding there as well.

Would I go back to Holt? If he had a car I was interested in, you betcha!

I drove the Pastel Yellow car too! It had some issues that Tim was up front
about and being that I'm into Concours I had to pass on it.

Feel free to PM me if you need clarification on anything.

Yup, went for more of a "daily driver" version: higher miles, lower price. Their inventory seems to be mostly low mileage cars, but that doesn't necessarily mean brought fully up to like-new spec, which the price would imply.

It's much cleaner now...

The metallic black 1995 C4 was there in June but the cars you guys looked
at are recent additions.
