Best Source for Brakes
OK, newbie preparing to do my first brake job. Were do you guys order your rotors and pads from? I'm assuming OEM rotors and Textar pads at this point as the car is doing DD duty for now. OEM seems to be the preferred choice for rotors by most but I'm also open to any positive experiences with other brands. Thanks.

In IL, order from Stoddard. OE parts, good prices and UPS ground is like overnight. I use them for OE stuff and everything that I need sooner than Pelican can get to me. Don't forget the single-use caliper bolts.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys. I'll get on the phone tomorrow with Sunset and Stoddard to see who has the better deal and the parts. Thanks for noting the caliper bolt Jon. Got it on the list. Looking forward to getting this first project under my belt.

I learned about Sunset from her. I recently ordered Rotors, the spoiler wall and a few other thigs. The service was excelent, what they said when they said and how they said.
I run OE parts only, pads also and not a sound ot of them.
Sunset ROCKS.

SHW Automotive is the brake rotor supplier to Porsche and they don't sell aftermarket OEM discs. Normally a vendor will list them as "Genuine" or OE. If you see a vendor selling "OEM" and the discs don't come in a box with the Porsche logo on it they are probably Otto Zimmerman which are crap and not OEM.
