What what I need if I were to only replace the front pads. Do I need to replace the bolt, spiders, etc.?

I'm planning on buying the parts and having the shop do it.

Is the caliper bolt needed when replacing the rotors? Which I haven't done yet...

Another newbie question about brakes. I too am planning a winter-time full brake removal with replacement of rotors, etc. with new SS brake lines.
What would my COMPLETE shopping list look like (part #s included please)?

TIA

I ordered Textars from Sunset back in April. Pricing then was:

Front Disc Pads (Big Reds):
993 351 949 00 (Textar) - $130.50

Rear Disc Pads (Big Reds):
993 351 939 01 (Textar) - $130.50

The shop manual states that the front caliper bolts are single use and should be replaced.

Does anyone have the part number on the front single use bolt for the C2/C4? I'm assuming it is different from the one your using on the Big Reds Eric.

Andy, for a '95 my PET CD shows the front caliper bolt as: 999 067 041 09.

Agreed.....Jeff is great and will organize everything for you........and no you do not have to replace the caliper bolts when cahnging rotors.....but they were cheap and I decided the current ones had been there for nearly ten years....so I cahnged them out.....no big deal if you dont.

Hi, I am newbie here. Can someone please send me the url for Sunset. I see lot of folks here have purchased OEM brake rotors from Sunset. I cannot find Sunset on Google. I am looking for OEM rotors and pads for my 1997 C4s (Big Red) front brakes.

Georj, here you go. http://www.sunsetimports.com/ you will need to call them ( Porsche Parts ) to get their pricing for the right parts to fit your year and model car the first time.
