Best clear-guard for front of my car?

After seeing how "perfect" the front end of a VERY low mile 993S was over the weekend I got the bug to go have the front of my car resprayed including around the headlights and the entire hood. The shop he went to did such an amazing job on removing his headlight washer nozzles and blending the new paint (which is a metallic and difficult to do so I'm told). I'm headed over to see them tomorrow to get a quote for the work. I figure black should be a piece of cake! Just looking for a few testimonials as to some of your thoughts on which are the best films to use. I've used invica-shield but it seems rather thin for front-end use. Are there any film companies that also offer protection for the RS splitters I have up front as well? Any Pics appreciated!

Call Sam at Premier Mobile Aesthetics Group (also a RL sponsor). He did the entire front end of my 993TT using a one piece film for the entire hood. He used Venture Shield and provide a life time warranty. Best of all he's mobile and in your area. Good Luck.

I am considering doing the same. Just be don't be so in a hurry to put on the clear guard until paint is fully cured. I remember reading that a RL'r peeled back the film and off came the paint.

Oh yes, good point CarmG993. Make sure you give it up to 90 days or longerfor paint to cured. In the mean time you'll just have to becareful after you get the respray. Also most pieces are custom cut to your car i.e. your spliters, etc.

Apologies in advance if this doesn't work since this is my first post.
Tony,
I see that you are in Texas. Not to sound naive, but did you have your car done in California or is there a way that Premier performs installations in Texas?

Premier does a Road Show... Go to their Website and check their calendar. I don't see TX on there but it changes too. The best thing to do is call Sam and if you can put a handful of people together you might have a chance for them to add you on their Road Show. BTW, where are you in TX?
BTW, My 993TT was done when I was in CA.

Tony,
I'm in Granbury down the road from Motorsport Ranch in Cresson , if you know where that is. The Maverick Region has track days there, I believe. I bought my car about 3 weeks ago (used to have a '74 911 back in the 80's before kids) and just joined Rennlist and PCA to get back into the Porsche world. I'm more of a lurker than a poster so you may see too much of me on the forums.

I had my Lexus done last month from Sammy over at Premier, they do some awesome work. Everytime I went by there they would be working on a High-end Super cars i.e. Carrera GT, Ford-GT, Lambo, F-cars

Check out ventureshield. http://www.ventureshield.com/
I met a guy in chicago that does this type of install. I saw the product on his boxster S. It doesn't have the orange peel look and there is no UV protection. He said that it streaches better then 3M and the cuts are better. I think they can even wrap some of the edges instead of just stoping at the top edge.
The price is the same as the 3M film for installation.
