Marv,

Sorry to hear that the situation is getting worst... Do you know why the shop is upset? I thought you guys were on the same page at the end of the day yesterday and decided to go with the PSS9s instead. I hope this will play out okay for you today...

Marv, Go to the shop and have them call ViperBob. He really does know his stuff. Good Luck.

Wish I lived close to that shop as I would love to help them finish your car. Like I mentioned before, the quickest way to fix this trouble is for this shop to swallow their pride and LISTEN!!

Marv, I hope you're listening to everybody becuase their comments are spot on.

- First, get them to call VB to confirm you really have the wrong parts.
- If that's the case, put the old suspension back on, pay them for their time, and try to put it behind you.
- In Florida, get the stuff sorted out.

PSS9 install is NOT a piece of cake. There are just as many things that can go wrong, and it doesn't sound like it's the right suspension for you anyway. Just my $0.02. Good luck, we're pulling for ya.

Thanks guys!

In defense of Rick I believe that he is a good guy and clearly has an order of magnitude more experience and knowledge than I. He also rebuilt my 964 from the ground up (suspension included) and the job was very good, indeed.

Right now I am sure he is as frustrated as I am and the best thing I can do to help is stay out of his hair. I am going to let him sort this out, since that is what he asked for. If it isn't sorted out before I leave, then we have a problem.

However, there is little I can do right now that will make things go any quicker. He has all of the options in front of him. The Eibach springs should be there, the PSS9s should be there, and he has the M030 springs with the Bilsteins he ordered. He should be able to make something work out of all the parts. Lastly, he has the original suspension, albeit the shocks are shot.

If Rick calls me I will give him VB's number.

Bob, thank you for the offer of help. I really appreciate it.

Marv, sorry but that's ridiculous - you're letting your mechanic decide what suspension to install based on what he feels like doing? It's your car! And this is not chump change we're talking man, I would get down there and tell him what you want done. Just my $.02

He knows exactly what I want. I specified the PSS9s because he can get them in time and they come as a kit, so everything should be there and everything should fit. If he has the wrong Bilstein HDs (which is what I suspect) he could order every spring made for the 993 and they won't fit. I didn't want him taking that tact and loosing another day or two sorting out parts before realizing what the root cause of the problem was.

I am just waiting for his call to see what progress is being made.

PSS9s. He said the installation went flawlessly and was a great setup.

I forgot to ask how much he lowered it, but I will see tomorrow.

Wow, what a pain. Nothing like adding stress to a major move like you're undertaking.

Have a relaxing trip to FL, enjoy your new PSS9s :-)
