I do need a new mentor as my last DE instructor went running into the hills...screaming something I couldn't quite make out....

Darn

I will begin work on my 500 word essay. Problem is none of my DE instructors will attest to my 'skill' level as they either will not talk to me...or are in traction.

More to come.

Mike... you know better than that, you are our Trusted leader the Grandest "Grand Poo Butt" of all time. Nothing so simple as "Your Slowness".

Old age and retirement getting to y'all? Huh???

That's sounds like a perfect Application to the HWFM team, and you only did it in only 25 words.

Well to ensure that any future audit of the membership applications does not lead to any problem I will provide the following details attesting to my suitability.

A little about myself.

Married with two kids - Wife thinks I am completely mental when it comes to this car…but puts up with me. Probably would prefer I spend my internet time looking at on-line **** than Rennlist…certainly cheaper in the long run…

Proudest moment – Gentleman walks up to me and asks “Is that a Poor-sh?” and my three year-old son, standing beside me, without missing a beat says “Nooo…it’s a Poorsh-a” – that’s my boy!!!

My engine tray - sitting somewhere on the side of the highway after I neglected to properly re-attach…I no longer have a stake in that debate.

My DE philosophy – a spin is a good way to maintain a safe buffer zone around your car….there are some idiots out there (always wanting to pass, drawing you in too close to a corner before breaking, sitting on your bumper…etc. - you know the types)

What I want to be admired for – putting a 1997 mint C2 with 12,000 miles on the track…..which proves my commitment to drive this car until it turns to dust.

What I hope to bring to HWFM Racing – stupid questions, even dumber answers, and an insatiable curiosity.

What I am most known for – I will unscrew any bolt…just because it is there…and this is usually followed by the exclamation “What the ***k??”

Goal in life - To someday create my own DIY for a top end overhaul.

DIY’s done so far – brake pads….so OK I have some work to do.

I'm not retired. I'm hadcore unemployed.

Also, I might remind you, Missy, that I'm younger than the guy you sleep with.

An exceptional application, Dave. I would archive it for reference for future applicants, if I could figure out how to archive. Maybe I'll just tell them "Do a search, numnuts!"

I was most impressed with this qualification:

"... I will unscrew any bolt…just because it is there…and this is usually followed by the exclamation “What the ***k??”

Since we just accepted a Team Pillar of MIS-information, perhaps we can continue with the Mis-es and name you Team Mishap or Director of Mishaps.

What do other teammates think?

I like a guy who knows what a Porsche is for! (I put a show quality C2S with 13k miles on the track).

Excellent philosophy for keeping people away from you on the track!

It does cause concern that you even attempted to put the engine tracy BACK ON the car, but shows empathy for the Swiss.

Choreographer of Team Mishaps?

Choreographer of Team Mishaps?

I do like Choreographer of Team Mishaps....it is in line with my philosophy that an off track event is as much a ballet in motion as it is an alternative 'line' for the track.

I await formal induction.
