Default Anodized Lug Nut Question

I just received some anodized lug nuts to replace my scratched exsisting lug nuts. The new anodized lug nuts are extremely light and feel like plastic. Is this normal? Will they be safe on my car? Has anyone else used these plastic feeling nuts from Performance Products before?

The aluminum alloy lug nuts are very light. However I recently bought some non-OEM nuts and had the portion of the nut that the socket wrench was on (was using a 'soft' socket) twist off leaving much of the nut still on the stud. It took a lot of time to drill and chisel out the rest of the nut. Had to replace the stud and did some damage to the wheel..... I now apply some anti-seeze to the studs to prevent galling. The nuts did not come from Performance Products.

Good Luck!!!!!
