Bought mine 2.5 years ago with 73K, got 85K on it now. Runs so good I can't wait for 95K. If you find a car that is everything you want and well maintained, forget about the miles.
bought mine over a yearago with 72K .. now has 81k and knock on wood no major problems .. i did replace the alternator and belts .. remembr to buy "right" .. mine had a recent topend plus clutch and brake job done by PO at 70K ...all at a cost of over 5K .. best of luck
I remember in the 70s when I was a kid and we got Dad's first BMW. We were amazed to see an extra digit on the milometer where the crappy English cars we had bought previously rolled back to zero at 99,999. There's a good reason for that extra digit...
I just turned over 75k last weekend at the track and have no desire or plans to ever get rid of my ride. I drive it every day and take it to the track for DE and Club Racing events...
when i was looking 9 months ago there was a black/beige 993 with 75k miles for sale in the same area. I would make sure that this is not the same car (how long did the prev owner have it?). if it is, there may be a reason for this car to be back on the mkt.
Bought mine with 80k on the ODO and now have 90k with minimal oil use and no major problems.
These cars can go 200k without a rebuild if properly and faithfully maintained, as for that exact 993,
I'm with 2nd of2 & Mark in Balt, it's a bit overpriced considering you will probably have to put 2k into the new shocks & install
Mine's got 71k on it and when I took it for a live remap the other week it was producing 285.5bhp before the remap..... spot on! Completely standard engine apart from RSR's and motorsound intake.
My mate's 993S with less than 30k on it was producing less than 280bhp and needed it's varioram tweeking as part of the remap.....
It's not so much the engine as long as it's got a proper history but keep an eye out for:
