My '97 Carrera S does not say "Carrera S" on the tach. I'll check my neighbor's '98 S tomorrow.

In this area, for a clean, no issues/no stories C2S, that price would be outstanding! Two cars sold here in the last two weeks (friends), a '98 went for $54k, while a '97 brought $53K. Both were just under 40k miles.

FWIW, I bought this 30K car several months ago in the low $40's (one regular option; one semi bizarre option).

Maybe we should ask an expert? I know the ones I have seen have the script, was it an option?

On the '98 993 C2 S I owned.....Jim it was not an option.....all C2 S Porsches , 993 in total, were the same to the best of my knowledge
