Cannot find the name yet but the search is on!
I saw something like that in a that mag. I remember investigating, but I also remember being turned off of that option. I can't recall why. Something about squeaking or mayb making the car too stiff??? I live in LA and drive the thing on the street, so non-compliance would be an issue. I wish I could remember.

I also couldn't find the bushings for the 993 on the powertech site. Am I missing something???

Has anyone replaced the bushings in their car rather than the whole control arm? How hard of a job? Big difference in ride?

Shidinger: I appreciate the offer, but if I'm gonna replace the control arm, it'll be with one I won't have to worry about for a while. Thanks anyway.

o.k. the ones from France won't work for me (they are for 964 and not 993)

Anyone else happen to have some they don't need?

Bummer, Chris! Apparently Shidinger has some with "questionable bushings" for $150 shipped.

I have been running the Powerflex bushings for three years with no problem.
With the poly used there is only a very small difference in ride quality but a noticeable sharpening of steering response.
I would never put used arms on my car . It is so difficult to tell the condition of the void bushes .
I found that a lot of UK specialists / dealers had plenty of used arms put out with the garbage !!
At one time I had ten sets of used arms that cost nothing !!

Your choice .

Good luck

Geoff

I was in NS 2 weeks ago. The state of your roads makes Africa proud!

Monique,
I am in the UK at the moment and sure the road surfaces are better than NS but traffic density, speed cameras etc, etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If this is what you poor sods have to live with, there is no road surface envy here !

All the best
