the 997TT wheels on that car are photoshopped, as I just noticed.

There is so little rubber on the 19inchers .. I'd think you'd blow tires/bend rims given the state of the roads I drive on in the east bay/Sac area. I'm happy on my 18s.. though those rear Mich Pilot Sports go pretty fast on their own. Looks like a little over 6k for the rears.

I think some 19's look pretty cool, ie: RUFs, SSRs ala Tim (sweet car Mr. Wasmer), etc.
But I can't stand those new turbo wheels. Yuck!

Surprisingly it does look a lot better in person. But the rims still suck.

Somebody (oh about a year ago) had 19" on his street car and sent pics and I think the major portion of the thread agreed that they looked out of place on the 993.....its a "to each his own" preference but I agree with the previous thread....they just look too big......I think 18" on a lowered car is just right....it maintains the overall lines of the car .... just my 2c

Beautiful car BTW. Love the 19's. I have to say I have seen a grey 997 turbo in person and the wheels on it are simply amazing looking, very solid and aggressive.

The 19's have just as much rubber as the 18's. Just makes the overall diameter 1" bigger which means gearing is adversely affected by more than 5.5%. Gearing for the 997 Carrera, TT and GT3 had to be changed to work with the new tires/wheels, so I don't recommend anyone use those stock sizes with a 993 (which needs shorter gearing rather than taller)...
