Who said 993 prices are going down?

Another data point:
I bought my 28,500 mile Black/Black 1998 C2S in March...
The folks I bought the car from have called me three times in the last 6 weeks offering to buy my car back for $5k more than what I purchased it for.....
Just more info......

several serious offers on my car earlier in the year when I was contemplating selling... the most serious from a seasoned PCA-type in California that wanted to pay $55k for it sight unseen... my car now has 47k miles on it...
in the end, they were just offers and i agree one or two data points dont make a trend...but all you have to do is go to autotrader, ebay, the highline dealers, PCA.org, etc. to see that some of the well-kept 993s are continuing to stick in the $50s unless they are high mileage...

obchuck - Keep in mind I have not been actively hunting for a 993 since March, so my info may be a bit off, but not by much.....
From my research:
(2) 993's: 20k - 30k miles / black-black / good option package / overall good conditon....
The narrow body would sell between $37k - $42k
The wide body would sell between $50k - $60k
The price premium of the wide bodies to the narrow bodies appear to be $10k-$12k.....

My guesstimate for my 95 C4 would be about $31k. Mabye a little low but Im not one to over value anything. I paid $36k ($38,750 if you add the tax) with 33,000 miles back in 2003. Granted I have some some upgrading and still pretty happy that is probably still sits in the low 30's for value.
Black on black, 56k miles, exhaust upgrade, Rensport ECU upgrade, stereo upgrade, LFW and clutch upgrade, silver gauges, pedals, and emergency brake, fabspeed air box, BMC filter, immobilizer, windows roll up and down with alarm, C4 floor mats, XM, electric tire air pump, Porsche cover, brand new rotors and pads (sitting in boxes right now) new tires plus 6 spare brand new tires, and detailed records of EVERTHING ever done to the car. I have a little spider wide paint crack in the rear bumper that I will probably end up getting fixed in the future. My car is never driven in the rain, snow, bad weather, or steped foot on a track. Overall condition is very good.

...but since I'm the original and only owner, AND just got a job again, I probably won't find that out

there were more "S" cars than C4 cars... but that comparison does not hold true for the C2 cars... there were far more "non S" cars...
of course your C4 was indeed rare compared to others...
the term "rare" might arguably be best reserved for cars like the 73 RS and such anyway...
