Default Got my AutoEnginuity OBD II Reader

This thing is really cool.

Even more cool is that it runs on my new MacBook Pro with Windows XP installed as the alternate OS.

Even got more good news as my O2 sensors check good as far as I can tell. No pending codes and 350 miles since it was reset at Autozone.

Thanks to everyone for your help with my P1115 code issue. Looks like it was possibly a corroded connector. However, now I can keep an eye on it.

Told you it was nifty. Have you tried data logging with the car on the road?

I got it from AutoEnginuity directly off of eBay for $199.

Great service and a quick ship, too. Highly recommended.

Hey, I think I'll use that line for the feedback, too!

Don, Or anyone else, How are you logging while driving? I find that the scantool DLC plug gets in the way of my leg while driving. Is there a 90 degree plug available? I just picked up the scantool from Pelican Parts.

Ps took me awhile to figure out the immobilzer trick, frustrating!

I agree - we should remember to post the immobilizer bit.

I went to move the plug when I re-did my interior, but got lazy. I can drive the car with the plug in, it's a little in the way but not too bad. *one day* i'll build an extension cable, 90 degree adaptor, or move the plug....

Default posting the immoblizer bit...

Sounds good because I must have missed that thread. Does the immobilizer "kick in" when trying to use the reader?

The reader will not read unless the immobilizer has been turned off with the remote.

"I got it from AutoEnginuity directly off of eBay for $199."

If you bought the Bluetooth interface and have a PDA (WM 5.0 or Palm OS),
you can download the PDA apps for free, and thus have a more convenient
scanner than via a PC, i.e with the same capabilities.
