At $448 for a complete set, I may just order a set of the SO3's. I have had 2 sets and they are good tires. For that price, I will settle on them.

Actually if Im going to order a set, probably should order and extra set of rears because I went through 2 sets of rears before 1 set of fronts. Being discontinued, once the rears go you will have to buy a new set. For $750 for a 6 SO3's, very good in my opinion.

agree completely... I ordered a couple of rears for that exact reason.

anyone know why FS discontinued the SO-3's. I had a chance to buy them not 4 months ago and went with the SO2A's - based largely on good feedback from this board.

Yee haw!

Bless you! Bless you! Bless you!

I just ordered a complete set plus two extra rear tires! I was fretting so much because I have to drive to Florida and my rears were getting thin!

Slider, I don't the nitty gritty details but I think they are just updating the line. It is being superceded by another comparable tire.

Ordered a set plus 2 extra rears. Reno (closed drop ship from me) is out of the rears so they are coming from Indiana. Few more $$ for the shipping but thats ok.

I figure I can replace my rears (Kumho MX's) 1 more time and by doing that, Im getting the most milage out of my fronts before switching to the SO3's. In other words, Im probably set for tires for the next couple of years.

Both the Kumho MX's and SO3's have been great tires however, the look of the SO3's are by far better, IMHO.

Tire Rack also has the Bridgestone RE050A tires deeply discounted. For those running 17s:

225/45 x 17 = $95
255/40 x 17 = $116

$422 per set!

Well, I really liked the SO3s and am happy to have a chance to buy another set. By the time I go through those six tires there should be enough data on a replacement tire that I will feel comfortable with.

Thy told me they had many. I asked for 255 40 ZR17, but I don't know what you asked for.

When I ordered online, they had no rears in stock in their Reno, NV location. My fronts are shipping from NV, rears from IN.

Tire Rack called me about 25 minutes after placing the order online just to verify that I needed 4 rears and 2 fronts.

Might want to go online to buy them or call back. The person may have not looked in the other warehouses.

I have a 1996 993TT, what size should I be running in the front and back. I have HRE wheels with stock offset.

Thanks
