Default Anyone change their NB bumper cover to an S

Was thinking about either repairing and re-spraying my stock bumper cover which is scratched/gouged from low driveways or switching to a U.S. spec "S" cover. Has anyone made this change and were you happy with the results? Who is the best source for a U.S. spec S cover? Anyone have an extra gathering dust in their garage? Preferably Arena Red? George

Why change it to US spec...Euro is much better..no bumperettes..

Fbfisher just changed his, do a search on his name..looks fantastic..

Gert a site sponsor is your source for the bumper.

Thanks all for the replys and photos. I did not consider the euro spec cover because I wrongly thought they required the brake vent holes thru the front. Now that I see the photos with the larger foglight housings, I am sold on the euro spec. Does the euro spec require new turn indicator lamps as well? Thanks, George

Yes, they are longer, since the bumperrettes are no longer in the way.

Only the turn signal lenses must be changed to the longer Euro model. The foglights are the same - they do not need to be changed.

However, the front inner fender liners should be (1) changed to the WB parts, or (2) modified (easy) for the different mounting holes, or (3) otherwise secured. If not, they'll be blown out of place at the bottom at 100+ mph.

STLPCA- So the new turn lenses asorb the space of the bumperettes? When I went to Gert's website, his turbo bumper package includes the cover & 2 clear turn lenses; no mention of the inner fender liners. Are there any other mods or new parts I will need if I go with the euro spec version over the U.S. version? Thanks, George

George...Gert has all you need in his kit. You will get the Euro bumper, Euro turn signals (complete), grill, and new rubber moulding. Your inner liners are the same with the addition of another screw... very easy. It makes a good upgrade. Good luck!
