Yes, Mark Budgen who runs a supercharged 993 has had this done. He said that it works pretty well though he would have preferred, in hindsight, to have maybe used the Scart one piece sports cat which is like a 100 cell version of standard. You can probably PM him. I've heard the car with standard silencers and it doesn't sound any different to normal whereas my sports cats made my RSRs much louder (and better ;-)).

Cheers,

David

why go though all that work? if your going to custom make yourself some cats, why not just start from scratch if you can weld?

I cannot weld. Swapping out cores and utilizing the existing infrastructure should make the job easy for whomever to do. The total cost should be much less than a set of brand-new Cargraphic cats, with all their performance, whatever that may be.

An added bonus is that it'll look completely stock.

Chaps,

a local shop welded the new 100 cell cans in the standard cat but as David says in hindsight I would go the scart or cargraphic route. The SC drowns out any noise change from adding the 100 cell cans but it makes a good improvement on top end with the SC.

BR, Mark.
